2D Hands-On Practical TOE course
We run two courses a year in  March and November. It is a three-day, intensive course with emphasis on practical scanning, supported by lectures to underline the theory. We also use the Inventive Medical Heartworks, 3D TOE simulator as a teaching tool throughout all three days, thus allowing a superior understanding of how the scan planes relate to the anatomy. The faculty consists of anaesthetists, cardiologists and echo sonographers. We use cardiac surgery theatres, cardiology TOE clinic, Liver theatres and ITU for a wide case mix of patients.
Previous echocardiography experience is not essential and the course will be adapted for more experienced echocardiographers.
The course is suitable for Anaesthetists, Intensivists, Cardiac Surgeons, Cardiologists and Cardiology technicians.
Places are limited to six to allow optimal practical exposure. A course dinner is included.

3D Hands-On-Practical Study Day
As of 2012 we will include a 3D study day twice a year, March and November. This advanced day will be suitable for candidates who have intermediate 2D experience and who wish to learn 3D skills. The emphasis  will be on the hands-on aspects of 3D acquisition, followed by manipulation and analysis of datasets. Lectures will precede the different practical session to underline the theory. Places are limited to six to allow optimal practical exposure.
